Swamp Pop Jean Lafitte Ginger Ale:
I love a good Ginger Ale every once in a while when it’s beautifully flavored and cold. Swamp Pop was excellent! I loved the flavor and surprised it wasn’t too sweet. It had a good zip to it, and I thought is was a excellent and clean tasting ginger ale.
Seasonings:
When the label on the bottle of spice named “Fire In The Hole,” it’s called that for a reason! The seasoning’s spicy but so delicious and tasty! The phrase, “Finger Licking Good” comes to mind!
The other package Louisiana Crawfish, Shrimp, and Crab Boil, I have had before. It is the only thing we use it for; cooking crawfish, shrimp, and crabs legs.
I live in Alabama and getting fresh crawfish is quite easy. My family gets together, listens to music that sometimes makes my teeth hurt, play horseshoes, drink a little beer, and of course, the main highlight is the Crawfish boil which we all enjoy eating.
Have you been to a Crawfish Boil before? If you have you know how to eat them, if not, I am about to tell you! Ready?
How To Eat Crawfish:
- Spread lots of newspaper on your favorite outdoor picnic table
- After draining the crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs, pour them out on the table.
- Grab your crawfish
- Catch the head of your crawfish firmly with one hand and grab the tail with your other hand.
- Twist and pull the tail from the head.
- Suck the head for a little extra Cajun flavor and juice (optional)
- Peel off the first 2 to 3 rings off the tail
- Pinch the end of the crawfish tail and pull the meat from its shell.
- You can dip the crawfish meat in a dipping sauce or just enjoy as is.
- Repeat steps
- ENJOY!
My Thoughts Overall:
I enjoyed getting this Parish Parcel: Cajun Subscription Box and it’s worth a try! I believe that it’s great to try different flavors from all over the states and see what you like. Who knows you might end up liking a bit of Cajun cooking, I know I do!
So throw wood in the outdoor fire pit, grab a huge pot and fill ’em up! Call up family and friends and have a bit of Cajun fun in your neck of the woods!
