Demeter Kitten Fur is a new fragrance to spoil your cat with to make them smell as sweet as a new kitten. A sweet vanilla-musky smell will cover your cat from the nape to tail. A little spritz goes a long way and will have your cat smelling good for hours, and not like, well, a cat.
Cat owners everywhere love their cute and cuddly felines. Some owners with dressing up their furbaby up in shiny collars, clothes for the season, or taking them to the beauty salon to get a cat makeover. Yes, I have heard of people doing that!
About Demeter:
Demeter wants to hit combinations of the fewest ingredients that make up a recognizable smell for you to enjoy. Demeter has been around since 1996 in NYC and is named after the Greek Goddess, Demeter.
They can mix up scents unique to the Demeter name. Today, Demeter has fragrances from Baby Powder and Pure Soap to Gin & Tonic, Play-Doh, Vanilla Cake Batter and even Pizza. I, don’t know anything about any of those fragrances, but I did try out Kitten Fur.
My Thoughts on Kitten Fur by Demeter:
I, personally don’t own any cats. I have 2 parrots, an African Grey and a Yellowed Crowned Amazon, however, my long time friends, Chad and Rene own 2 cats, as you can see from the pictures below. When I received Demeter’s Kitten Fur, I thought of them.
Since I have known Sapphire since she was a kitten, she was going to be our tester.
Chad and Rene love their cats, and yes, they treat them like their children. They take them to the groomers to get them washed and pampered. Demeter Kitten Fur was a fragrance that wanted to check out.
I did spray some on my wrist to see how strong the smell would be. At first, it comes across a little strong and then tapers down to a pleasant smell. The scent lasts for many hours and smells to have a vanilla-musk smell. I loved the smell. I could see someone using this as a perfume for themselves instead of their pets, but I wouldn’t tell anyone that!
Sapphire:
When Rene picked up Sapphire to spray the back of her neck, she was a bit grumpy and didn’t want to be our test subject. So we had to coo and pet her until she settled down.
Demeter Kitten Fur Fragrance came in a 1 oz. bottle.
Steps To Apply:
- Catch the cat
- Spray a single pump worth on the back of the cat’s neck towards the middle of the shoulder blades
- Let cat go
- Enjoy the smell when loving on them

Why you ask, buy cat perfume??
You’re probably wondering, “Why would I purchase perfume for my pet”? To answer your question, if you’re taking your cat to the groomers and love the way they smell when they “get prettied up,” Demeter will keep your cat smelling good until the next groomers visit. If I owned a cat, I think I would.
Does it hurt your pet?
No, it doesn’t. Rest a sure; your fur-baby will be okay!
Rene liked the smell of Kitten Fur after it dissipated a bit. She will put in on Sapphire outside the next time they use it. Chad called later that night to say they could still smell the Kitten Fur. (6 hours later) I was impressed! I did ask them if they would have bought this on their own if they knew about it. They both said, “Yes.”
Does Demeter have other products?
Yes! They do! They have fragrances from a Thunderstorm to the Smell of A New Baby. I’m interested in trying out their bath and body collection, oils, home atmosphere and more. Check out this photo:
