Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados, peeled and taken out of shell
1 small sweet onion, chopped
1/2 jalapeño pepper, seeds take out and chopped fine
2 Roma tomatoes, scoop out seeds and chopped well
1 1/2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp cilantro, chopped fine
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Peel and mash avocados in a medium serving bowl. Stir in lime juice, salt and pepper in the bowl or mashed up avocados. The lime juice helps brings out the natural flavors or the avocado. Add chopped onion, cilantro, jalapeño. Mix the mixture together well. Season the mixture with remaining lime juice and salt and pepper to taste. Chill for half an hour to blend flavors. If you like your dip on the hot side, add more chopped jalapeño to your mixture then I did. Serve with chips of your choosing. I, personally, like to add sour cream and salsa on the side to make it complete.
Enjoy this tasty snack in front of the television or with friends and family or by yourself. It is a simple recipe that will have people asking you for your recipe!
The salsa, I am sorry to say, is store-bought. Add your favorite salsa and enjoy the guacamole dip just the same!
