Are you and your family going on a picnic, fish fry or just having a good family dinner?Â
Granny’s Sweet Cole Slaw would be a great side dish to incorporate into your meal. It is light
and healthy, family and friends will be asking for more! This goes great with anything from pork,
beef or fish, so spruce up those dinners and enjoy!! My family loves this dish and asks for to be
made at least 2 to 3 times a month. I hope your family loves it as much as mine!
1 bag Tri-Color Cole Slaw (16 oz. bag)
1 cucumber
1 tomato
1 yellow apple
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
4 to 6 tbsp of mayo (enough to bind together)
pinch of sugar
4 shakes of pepper
4 shakes of Mrs. Dash
In a large bowl, add your Tri-Color Cole Slaw with your pepper and Mrs. Dash and mix around.
Peel your cucumber then slice them into 1/4’s and add them to your Bowl. Dice your tomato but
make sure you take out the seeds. Add tomato to bowl with dried cranberries and raisins. On a
cutting board, core your apple. I like the peel left on but that is up to you to keep it on or off.Â
Dice the apple in small bite size pieces before you add them into the mix. Add 4 to 6 tbsp of
mayo to your Cole slaw. Mix in very well, making sure you get everything covered. Last but not
least, a pinch of sugar over the mixture to add a bit of sweetness to it, mix well. Chill in the
refrigerator before you serve and ENJOY!!!!

Is that green onions on top for garnish?
Yes maam 🙂
Looks perfect for dinner option after working out, I think my boyfriend will love this recipe
I love cole slaw and would love to try and make this version! I like that you added the cucumbers on the side.
Coleslaw is the backbone of America (and every great summer BBQ) I miss having some good coleslaw, I’ll definitely try out this recipe! Thanks for sharing it!
A different way to make cole slaw and it sounds yummy. I love cole slaw!
It is yummy!
This looks so darn scrumptious! i love a good slaw and this one sounds like it would be a little twist for us. Which we’d love. Thanks!
My mother makes this all the time. It was always my favorite!
This looks delicious! I love adding apples and raisins to cole slaw. It adds a great taste dimension 🙂
Thank you!
This is a new concept for me. When we first came to the states I didn’t realise that the coleslaw here was sweet. It’s not over the other side of the world. Took some getting used to.
This reminds me of my mother-in-law’s coleslaw. It looks so amazing!
That doesn’t look like any cole slaw that I ever saw before. It looks much, much better. I would actually try that, and I am not a cole slaw fan.
This is the only way I like Cole Slaw! It is my favorite!
Right? It’s so unusual but looks so tasty. Have to try it too.
This would go perfectly well with barbecue, especially this summer! I love trying out different recipes for coleslaw!
I hope you enjoy it!

Anytime! I hope you get to make it and try it out!
Ooh now this is a coleslaw I would like to try, it definitely sounds better than your average coleslaw!
These are looks delicious and I love the twist in this recipe.
I love this coz its healthy and yet it looks delicious. One of the things that make life so hard about eating healthy is that when something is healthy, most of the time its also not delicious. Thankfully this seems to be the opposite.
I have always loved adding fruits to my veggie salads so I am sure this will be a delight.
I love coleslaw and your granny’s recipe sounds really yummy. I will make it on the weekends.
I have never had a sweet cole slaw. This looks amazing and sounds delish. I might have to make some at our next picnic and see how it turns out.
This looks yummy and refreshing. I love apple coleslaw. I can’t wait to try your recipe.
Raisins make anything a 10 in my book! I love that it has apples in it too. Can’t wait to try it!

We are planning for bbq weekend this Saturday and I would pair this coleslaw, so easy to prepare and my kids love coleslaw with bbq.
I have heard of apples, but I have never thought of putting raisins in coleslaw! What an interesting twist!
I like to try this Grann’s sweet cole slaw. This really looks unique and delicious.
What a great recipe for cole slaw. I will have to make this sometime this summer.

Homemade slaw is so good. I like some store bought, but not much beats when you make it on your own.

That is cool! I think I prefer coleslaw this way over any of the others I have had. My granny used to make it all the time when we come to visit from being overseas.
I’ve never been a fan of cole slaw but I love the addition of cucumbers to it. I’ve never seen that before.
My Grandmother taught my mother how to make it this way and in turn, she taught me. I love it this way and will make it with pretty much anything during the summer.
