The Holiday season is filled with laughter, cheer and love for family and friends. People gather around and celebrate this beautiful time of the year in their own way. Some serve a big holiday feast and others finger foods and sweets. Graeter Family History:

Graeter’s Ice Cream has 145 years of history under their belts. Beginning in 1868 when Louis Greater is moving to Cincinnati, Ohio to sell his ice cream to his neighbors on the streets to present day. The 4th generation now holds the company with Bob, Chip and Richard. The boys have opened four new retail stores, including one at King’s Island amusement park. They have also begun working with The Kroger Company to test market Graeter’s in new cities in the United States, beginning in Denver, Colorado.

Graeter’s use a French Pot process to help them craft their sinfully delicious dessert. Since the 1870’s they use only the finest ingredients they can get their hands on. Each batch of ice cream is formulated and combined one beautiful batch at a time. Huge chocolate chunks fill their ice creams, which are then packed by hand in the containers with loving care like an artist is to his masterpiece. Graeter’s then ships their masterpieces to millions to enjoy everyday!

Holidays with Graeter’s Ice Cream: My Thoughts:

I, Wendy, received 3 coupons to buy the pints of whatever Graeter’s Ice Cream at my local Krogers or Publix store. As you can imagine, I was excited too, for one, try something new.  I tried the Cookie Dough Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and my boyfriend tried the Mint Chocolate Chip. All I can start with is Holy Cow at the immense flavors! Every bite I had chunks of cookie dough and chocolate! I love it! The creaminess of the real ice cream was superb! I think it is better than the homemade stuff your family makes at the family Bar B Ques!  Look at that spoonful! Yumm!

Mint Chocolate Chip Graeter’s Ice Cream was enjoyed by my boyfriend, Larry. When he pulled the lid off of the ice cream, he told me you could smell the minty goodness that was held within. Wow! I was sitting next to him and could smell it from where I was sitting! He loved it! He pulled out a hunk of chocolate, one would think was a small candy bar, out of his pint size container. I told him this would be awesome to have during the summer months, especially here in Alabama, where it is so stifling.

People will fall in love with Graeter’s Ice Cream! I did! Graeter’s Ice Cream is the best I have come across so far! Check out your local Kroger’s and Publix supermarkets for this ice cream and grab you a pint. Have that taste for yourself and enjoy a bit of ice cream heavenly bliss!
