Funko Pop Television: The Golden Girls are now memorialized into popular collector items. All 4 Golden Girls are now superbly stylized vinyl figures for you to enjoy at home! So the central question of the evening is, “Who is your favorite Golden Girl”? Starring Beatrice Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty, the popular series centers on 4 older women who share a home in Miami, Florida. The popular mid-80’s television sitcom went through sad and trying moments, ex-husbands, funny and silly moments throughout their time living together. The 4 women were the best of friends who would do anything for each other!
Funko Pop Television: The Golden Girls: Dorothy
In the show, Dorothy was a school teacher that was strong, sarcastic, sometimes intimidating, and arguably, the most grounded of the 4 roommates. As you got into the show and Dorothy’s character, you couldn’t help but fall in love with her. I admired her for her sharp wit and strength. Even in doll form, Dorothy Zbornak looks to be intimidating! I wonder which of the girls has her miffed today? Loving her look of disbelief and wondering at the saying, “better be careful or the lake will freeze on your face”! I don’t think the show would have been the same without her.
Funko Pop Television: The Golden Girls: Sofia
As you can see, she has her signature handbag and glasses. Sofia Petrillo, played by Estelle Getty, is the mother of Dorothy and a friend to the other girls, is a sassy Sicilian who can cook the socks off anyone. “Picture it; the year was 1932….” She was a sweet little old woman that was blunt, uncensored, and had a ton brazen remarks to thrown to anyone and everyone. She reminds me of my grandma! Sofia was lovable on the show and as a Funko Pop doll! Isn’t she cute?

Blanche Devereaux is a true Southern Belle from Georgia that moved to Miami. Blanche is played by Rae McClanahan. Her character is prissy, prim and has a lot of gentleman callers. She is notoriously man hungry. Blanche likes to tell the girls about her “encounters.” As you can see she is ready for a night on the town. Flashy and sassy, Blanche is ready and willing to go on the town and live it up!
Funko Pop Television: The Golden Girls: Rose
Rose Nyland, the sweet, simple-minded and something of a pushover girl who rarely stands up for herself, frequently tells the other girls in various stories of her hometown, St. Olaf, which they find to be annoying. Rose will usually begin each story with, “Back in St. Olaf…” She is the lovable character you want to hug all day. One thing you can say about Rose, is that she is loyal to the ones she loves. Her Funko Pop doll captures her perfectly. Just look at her big eyes, you can almost hear her telling you a story! You will find out through the show, Rose grows in strength and self-worth and brings a lot to the table!
Out of all the Funko Pop dolls, it is hard to choose one that is your favorite. Couldn’t do it, but who could? I still love and watch the show to this day and will probably watch it on TV Land until I am a Golden Girl too! I hope you collect your own and enjoy them as much as I do!
